The Church of Christ at Milestone is made up of many members (1 Corinthians 12:12) working together carrying out the Lord’s work. Every single member is a vital part of the congregation (Romans 12:3-5). We would like to introduce you to our leadership and staff.
According to scripture the New Testament church is overseen by elders. This is not just one man, but a plurality of men that meet certain qualifications. They are sometimes referred to in scripture as bishops, shepherds and overseers. You may read more in God’s word regarding them and their qualifications in the following passages (1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-5; Ephesians 4:11-16; Hebrews 13:7, 17; John 13:1-20; John 10:1-19; Matthew 20:20-28; Luke 22:24-27).
We have been blessed to have faithful, qualified men to oversee the work through the years and are thankful for them. We are equally thankful for these type of men that are continuing to oversee the work.

In the New Testament church one reads of the position of a Deacon. These are men that meet the qualification found in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. Their work is under the direction of the elders and is to be servants in carrying out certain aspects of the congregations work. We are privileged to have qualified men to serve in this capacity.

It is important that all Christians realize that they are to be carrying out the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20). In the New Testament church there is much emphasis placed on preaching the Gospel (1 Corinthians 1:21). There are many passages which authorize a preacher for a congregation (1 Cor. 9:6-14; 2 Cor. 11:8). In the new Testament these men can be called preachers, evangelists or ministers. The Church of Christ at Milestone has a full-time preacher that focuses on preaching the Gospel to evangelize and edify.
